Lark Ellen Farm began with a personal need: Kelley was searching for what was causing her body's inflammation, and how food could help.

She started paying close attention, learned what truly nourished her and how much ingredient quality mattered. That led her to simple, trustworthy food made from real ingredients, food that worked with her body instead of against it.

What she made for herself soon became what she wanted for her two sons and her family. Before long, she was sharing it at the Ojai Farmers Market, her boys by her side, offering samples to neighbors who kept coming back.

That early community shaped everything. It reminded Kelley that food is personal, and that people can taste when something is made with care.

The name Lark Ellen honors Ellen Beach Yaw, a celebrated opera singer and philanthropist from the turn of the century whose generosity and creative spirit felt deeply aligned with the brand Kelley was building. Fittingly, those very first batches came together in a small space on Lark Ellen Avenue in Ojai, the same street that carries her name.
